The Maternity Voices Partnership lay members regularly visit clinical ward areas in NHS Lothian Maternity Units. The visits follow the ’15 steps for maternity’ template. https://nationalmaternityvoices.org.uk/toolkit-for-mvps/mvps-in-action/gathering-feedback/15-steps-for-maternity/
During our visits, NHS Lothian maternity staff made the MVP members very welcome. They then worked in collaboration with the MVP to make improvements and keep providing a safe, supportive and caring environment for future and new parents.
Please see the reports below, with most recent visits at the top, for the Lothian Birth Centre, the Labour Wards at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and at St John’s Hospital and Postnatal Ward 211 at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
