The surgical admission unit is the place where our younger patients come to have an assessment before surgery. This is also the part of the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People where you are usually admitted to on the day of surgery. The unit is run by a team of nurses led by Mrs Christine Bruce.
This service uses care pathways to make your stay as safe and caring as possible. We work to achieve everyone’s individual needs.
