British Spine Registry (BSR)

We use the largest U.K. National spine data system. This is called the British Spine Registry (BSR). It was developed by the largest U.K. Spine Society called the British Association of Spine Surgeons (BASS) in May 2012. As a whole service we have been offering patients this before their surgery since April 2017.

For all of you who sign up the system sends a standard list of e-mails to fill out questionnaires after your operation. This does not include any photos or x-rays. When we look at what you say as a group we can tell the next patients. This helps them make up their mind what to do.

Thanks to all who have done better than our goal of 90% follow up at two years after operation. This is the up to date information to November 2019. Keep up the great work!
