Length of brace treatment

The length of time you need your brace treatment is individual to each person. Usually the brace treatment lasts a few years until you stop growing. Curves in the spine change most while you are still growing.

According to the Scoliosis Association UK (SAUK), if you are a teenager when starting your brace treatment, the brace is usually worn for just over 2 years (26 months on average). If you start your brace treatment when you are aged between 4-10 years you need your brace for longer.
