There are a number of specific conditions where the muscles become weaker. This weakness can allow the spine to change shape. When the spine changes shape it can affect breathing and cause discomfort sitting.
There are a number of groups helping to support patients with these conditions. This includes another Scottish National Service – the Scottish Muscle Network.
