These pages are about the different conditions the Scottish National Spine Service (SNSS) currently treats.
The list of conditions is ultimately decided by the Cabinet Secretary of Health and Sport after discussion with a number of others.
The surgery in this service is done by the consultants who will give you all of the detail you wish. They are supported by senior trainees, called spinal fellows, who do some operating under supervision.
The later pages are about specific operations, spinal implants and techniques. Some of these we currently do and others we are evaluating with this noted on each page.
