The Post MI Edition is a rehabilitation programme designed for patients recovering from acute myocardial infarction (heart attack). Shown to be clinically effective in repeated studies, the Heart Manual is the UK‘s leading home-based cardiac rehabilitation programme, providing a standardised approach for more than 350 major NHS users across the UK, and contributing to the recovery of more than 14,000 heart attack patients every year. The programme is currently cited as best practice by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.

To complement the Post MI Heart Manual and empower the patient to improve their long term health and wellbeing, the programme includes our relaxation programme and a question and answer resource for both patients and their families. These resources are available in both CD and online audio format. The relaxation programme is also available in an App (Android and Apple). Search ‘HM Relax’ in the app store.
