A Collaboration Between Patients and Clinicians

This website is a joint collaboration between bronchiectasis patients and the clinicians who treat them.  The aim is to share widely the experience which has been built up in recent years in the treatment of bronchiectasis and to share this with a wider audience. This website is intended for patients with bronchiectasis and their carers.

It was originally created in 2014 and is currently being up-dated by the Lothian Bronchiectasis Service. The patient support group have been closely involved in the development.

The Lothian Bronchiectasis Service

Lothian is a centre of excellence in treating bronchiectasis through a multi-disciplinary team involving clinicians, physiotherapists, specialist nurses and pharmacists.  The growing body of patients attending the bronchiectasis clinic has also permitted extensive research into new and improved treatments for bronchiectasis.  Clinical researchers continue to explore new treatments.
