The Rheumatic Diseases Unit in Lothian has a Multidisciplinary Team consisting of Consultants, Speciality trainees, Specialty Doctors, Rheumatology Nurse Specialists, Research Nurses, Pharmacists, a Physiotherapist, an Occupational Therapist, a Podiatrist and support staff.
Rheumatology is principally based at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh. We also have limited Rheumatology clinics at St John’s Hospital, Livingston and in East Lothian Community Hospital, Haddington.
We are a joint University/NHS academic and clinical unit and a major referral centre for patients with rheumatic diseases in South East Scotland.
