The Rheumatic Diseases Unit is a leading centre for both academic and clinical research, and is involved in a wide variety of research activities.
The Unit also has a strong link with Edinburgh University, where a large amount of research is conducted into a wide and varied range of conditions related to joints, bone and muscle.
Our consultants are leading research into the genetic basis of bone and joint diseases, the pathogenesis of Inflammatory arthritis, Lupus, Osteoporosis and Gout.
