Breastfeeding Groups

Breastfeeding support groups are a great help for any mother giving her baby any breastmilk. You are welcome to attend any NHS Lothian group, to meet other Mothers and babies, there is no need to register you can just turn up.

The following associations have access to peer supporters who speak foreign languages. This means the peer supporters can phone a mum or video chat with a mum in their language.

National Breastfeeding Helpline

Open from 9.30am-9.30pm every day of the year on 0300 100 0212
All calls are answered by volunteers who are trained and supported by the Breastfeeding Network and the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers. They also offer support on the same number in Welsh and Polish.
