Otherwise, there are a variety of mental health and wellbeing services available to people who live in Edinburgh, which will provide support for people with various conditions including depression, anxiety, distress, and feelings of panic.
Breathing Space on 0800 83 85 87, open weekdays Monday-Thursday 6pm to 2am and weekends Friday 6pm – Monday 6am. This is a confidential phone-line for anyone in Scotland over the age of 16, who is feeling low, anxious, or depressed. You can also visit breathingspace.scot
Mental Health Information Station – offers a walk in and telephone service for anyone affected by mental health issues, and their carers. Further information is available on the Mental Health Information Station website
Edinburgh Crisis Centre 0808 801 0414 – is a service for people who are aged 16 and over who are using or have used mental health services and live in the City of Edinburgh when they are facing a crisis. This includes people who have seen their GP, used voluntary services, and people who identify themselves as having a mental health issue
Samaritans 116 123 – telephone support service staffed by volunteers, for anyone who is struggling to cope and in distress
