Mental Health after Covid Hospitalisation NHS Lothian | Our Services

Mental Health after Covid Hospitalisation (MACH)

This short-term funded service, consisting of psychologists, psychiatrists and occupational therapists, provided mental health follow-up to people hospitalised with Covid-19 during the Covid pandemic.

Although we are no longer in a position to accept referrals, we have created this webpage with videos and resources you may find helpful if you are recovering from Covid-19 and have ongoing symptoms. These resources are based on our clinical experience within Lothian and through collaborating with other MACH services nationally.

There are video presentations where we talk through common symptoms, as well as some strategies you might find helpful. There are also resources which you can download, and information on where you can seek further support.

During the three years of MACH, we worked with many individuals with varying difficulties, at different stages of their recovery. We know that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach, but we hope that these resources are as helpful to you as they have been for others that we have worked with.
