In previous posts we have shared with you the news of the new NHS Lothian Stroke Education webpage and the 1 hour Care Home specific sessions available to come to your Care Home.
Now we’d like to share the all day workshop available for Carers and Seniors.
This session will cover in-depth information relating to stroke. This will include when someone is having a stroke but also caring for someone after a stroke, whether this is immediately after or years later. It focuses on a person-centred approach and psychological and emotional effects, not just physical effects.
The session will include discussion and an experiential element so that learners can explore what it might feel like to have a stroke.
Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance following this all-day workshop.
