Urology Pelvic Physiotherapy

The Urology Pelvic Health Physiotherapy Service helps people who are experiencing any urinary continence issues.

This also includes people who have a problem with their pelvis or pelvic floor.

Referrals into our service are only accepted from the Urology Team.

Therefore you need to be under the care of a Urology Consultant.

Conditions that we treat:

Bladder or gynaecological problems

Many women suffer from bladder and gynaecological problems. Physiotherapy and minor lifestyle changes can help reduce symptoms.

Female pelvic pain

There are many different causes of pelvic pain such as illness, infection, scarring after surgery (with or without mesh), a physical or psychological problem.

Male Urinary Symptoms

Men can experience bladder, bowel, sexual problems and pelvic pain.
Physiotherapy and minor lifestyle changes can help reduce the symptoms.

Robot Assisted Radical Prostatectomy Surgery (RARP)

We treat patients who are on the waiting list for robot assisted radical prostatectomy surgery.

Conditions that we currently do not treat:

Male Pelvic Pain

There are many different causes of pelvic pain such as illness, infection, a physical or psychological problem. 

Bowel Problems

Common bowel problems include constipation, faecal urge incontinence, diarrhoea and rectal prolapse.
