Important notice about Boots Pharmacy in Musselburgh
Boots UK Limited has informed NHS Lothian the pharmacy at 106 North High Street, Musselburgh will be permanently closed from 13 January 2024. The Boots pharmacy located at 164 High Street Musselburgh will remain open where patients can continue to access services and medicines.
We’ve been working closely with Boots, East Lothian health and social care partnership and GP practices to ensure patients are advised of the changes.
Anyone who receives dosette boxes and serial prescriptions from the North High Street pharmacy should now have been contacted to agree alternative arrangements. The majority of patients are transferring to the nearby Boots store but they can choose their preferred pharmacy.
If you get prescriptions sent to the North High Street pharmacy, and have not already been contacted, please contact Boots or your local GP Practice to nominate a new pharmacy.
If you have a prescription awaiting collection at the North High Street pharmacy, please arrange to pick it up as soon as possible and before the closing date. You will not be able to collect it after 13 January 2024 and would need to get a new prescription issued.
