Parkinson’s Disease Research The CHIEF-PD trial is a phase 3 randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of rivastigmine to prevent falls in Parkinson’s disease. The trial aims to determine whether treatment with cholinesterase inhibitors (ChEi) reduces the rate of falls in Parkinson’s disease. The primary objective of the trial is to determine the difference in fall rate
Many patients need more tests to check for underlying problems. The main test beyond X-rays are scans with the most common being an MRI. This stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and as the name suggests it is a large magnet that is used to make the images.
