Dr Rosie Ashworth

Patient and Public Involvement Lead

RA Edit

Dr Rosalie Ashworth
BSc, PhD

I am the Patient and Public Involvement Lead for NRS Neuroprogressive and Dementia Network and ENRICH Scotland. My work focuses on involving people with lived experience in research activities with a particular interest in co-production.

I studied Applied Psychology at Cardiff University before completing my PhD in dementia research with the University of Stirling. I became chartered as a research psychologist with the British Psychological Society in 2018.

My research interest focus on co-producing research that people with lived experience wish to work together on. I enjoy exploring different research methods and the creativity that comes from involving people with lived experience in the different stages of research.

I lead two patient and public involvement groups “Partners in Research” and “RICH Voices” for NRS NDN and ENRICH Scotland respectively. We currently have sub-groups for dementia, Parkinson’s, and care home research. Our meetings include “Meet the Researcher” and “Co-Research Projects”.
