Where are we based?
Our physiotherapy staff work in clinics across West Lothian. Please see the ‘Where To Find Us‘ drop down menu, at the top of this page, for a list of our West Lothian clinics.
We treat people through a combination of face to face, telephone and video appointments depending on the needs of the individual.
How long will I wait?
Current waiting time for routine referrals is 8 weeks [last updated 03.12.25].
This can vary depending on demand. You can choose to attend any West Lothian clinic – this may result in a longer wait.
If your problem is worsening, please contact your GP practice or seek more urgent medical attention if appropriate.

What will happen at your first appointment?
You will be able to discuss your concern with your Physiotherapist and how it affects you.
An examination will usually happen.
Please bring suitable clothing. For example,
- shoulder pain – wear a vest
- knee pain – wear shorts
What should I do if I cannot attend my Physiotherapy appointment?
Missed appointments will result in a longer wait to be seen. If you cannot attend your physiotherapy appointment, please let us know as soon as possible on 01506 522063. Lines are open between 9am-1pm, Monday-Friday, except public holidays.
If you do not attend your appointment and have not informed the physiotherapy department of this in advance, you will be discharged.
If you contact the physiotherapy department within 4 weeks of this missed appointment, you may be provided with a new appointment. If more than 4 weeks have passed, you will need to be referred again.
