When you are diagnosed with IBD and as part of the ongoing management of your condition, you will be seen by a number of health professionals.
We work as a multidisciplinary team to provide the highest standard of care to you with the resources we have.
IBD Nursing Team
Role includes:
- Disease education and support
- Medication education and initiation of treatment
- Advice during a flare up of your disease
- Advice on side effects from medications
Gastroenterologists
Gastroenterology doctors specialise in intestinal disorders such as IBD and are responsible for making decisions with you about your care and appropriate treatment options for you.
You will be assigned to one of the Gastroenterology Consultants
Specialist Pharmacists
Medication advice and management.
Other members of the IBD Team
Dietitians, Endoscopy Staff, Surgeons.
