VOCAL – Voice of Carers Across Lothian
VOCAL supports and empowers unpaid carers in Edinburgh and Midlothian through individual support, information, training and access to services. More information on the services they provide can be found on the Care Homes A-Z Pages or direct through the VOCAL webpages
Included in their work is the provision of training for Health and Social Care workers who support unpaid carers.

SSSC Open Badges | View all badges – SSSC Open Badges
Linked to the podcasts and some of the resources are some Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) open badges. These open badges can be used to evidence continued professional development, are accessible to everyone (not Scotland specific), and can be used as evidence towards registration and Continuous Professional Learning both for SSSC and other professional regulatory bodies. PDA Health and Social Care Supervision – Edinburgh College
Edinburgh College offer the opportunity to achieve a Professional Development Award (PDA) in Health and Social Care Supervision at SCQF Level 7
This award meets part of the requirements for registering with Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) in a supervisory role.

Equality, Diversity and Human Rights Training (TURAS online)
NHS Education Scotland have published a new module on Equality, Diversity and Human Rights, this is a great introduction to the essentials for practice and they have conveniently included links to log learning on the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) MyLearning platform. TURAS is a digital learning platform developed by National Education Scotland (NES) to provide a wide range of online educational resources for staff working in health and social care.
