What is Women’s Health Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy is a health care profession concerned with human function and quality of life.
Women’s health physiotherapy aims to assist patients in restoring their normal physical, psychological, and social wellbeing. It uses physical and practical approaches, encouraging self-management and advising on ways to help facilitate the body’s own healing processes.
We can help people who are experiencing difficulties controlling their bladder or may be suffering vaginal or pelvic discomfort including prolapse symptoms or painful sex. We can provide advice and support for common conditions during pregnancy and the period following the birth of your baby
All women’s health physiotherapists working within the NHS must be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council
