In this section you will find the contact details and further information of the specialist eating disorder services that exist for adults in South East Scotland.
These services, unless otherwise stated, are only able to accept referrals for adults aged 18 or over. For anyone under this age, you will need to contact your local child and adolescent mental health service.
For anyone concerned about issues around eating, you should always speak to your General Practictioner (GP) in the first instance. If appropriate, your GP may refer you to a specialist eating disorder service if this available in your area, or to your local community mental health team who also routinely work with people with an eating disorder. In general, specialist services cannot accept self-referrals.
If you are a professional and are concerned about someone in your care with a diagnosis of an eating disorder, many of the specialist services listed below can provide telephone consultation and advisory services to clinicians in their health board area.
