Unfortunately, due to the pandemic we have had to make some changes to our working practices to keep the unit as safe as possible.
The following measures are in place and will be updated or changed when appropriate.
- On admission patients must isolate in their bedrooms until a negative result is received from a PCR test. This usually takes around 24 hours. Meals and meal support will be provided in the bedroom during this time.
- As patients have to isolate on admission, we are currently not offering any regular passes off the ward, either around the hospital, or to home. Any passes are prescribed for treatment purposes only.
- Patients are required to wear facemasks at all times (with the exception of eating and drinking and when in their own room space) around the ward.
