Lothian Enhanced Services

Enhanced services are essential or additional services delivered to a higher specified standard which GP practices contract with the primary care organisation to provide.

Performance data from practices providing the Drug Dependence National Enhanced Service, Blood Borne Virus Local Enhanced Service, and Alcohol Brief Interventions Local Enhanced Service is received quarterly and is collated and analysed by the PCFT. The data is used to support feedback to practices regarding interventions in relation to adherence to evidence-based care and to inform strategic planning.
