DFP

Alzheimer’s Disease Research

The Deep & Frequent Phenotyping (DFP) study is designed to explore how we can detect Alzheimer’s disease before symptoms appear. The study aims to build a detailed database using a variety of tests and assessments from individuals who may be at risk. These include brain scans, cognitive and memory tests, retinal imaging, blood tests, and wearable devices that track daily activities.
Led by the University of Oxford, the study recruited participants over the age of 60 from across the UK, with our site located in Edinburgh. The DFP study hopes to help improve the design and effectiveness of future clinical trials.

Findings from the study will be made available through the  Dementias Platform UK Data Portal.
