When We Are Open 

Main Reception on Spittal Street

Monday-Friday 8.45am – 4.30pm

The Exchange on Lady Lawson Street

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 12.30pm – 4.30pm, Thursday 10.30am – 4.30pm. However, please attend the reception at any time during operating hours if you require injecting equipment.

How to Access Our Service 

The Harm Reduction Team can be accessed in the following ways:

  • Drop-in anytime during The Exchange opening hours for injecting equipment provision (needle exchange), dry blood spot testing for blood borne viruses or Naloxone supply
  • Those using steroids and other image and performance and enhancing drugs can use The Exchange for injecting equipment; however, there is a specialist Steroid Clinic open every Monday (except Monday holidays) between 5pm and 7pm
  • Women’s Clinic: Drop-in Thursdays 2.30pm – 7pm (closed 4.30pm – 5pm)
  • Wound Clinic: Drop-in Thursdays 10.30am – 1.30pm
  • Dental services: Drop-in – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 12.30pm to 4pm (Names will be added to drop-in 12pm onwards and it is advised you attend as close to 12pm as possible if you want to be seen that day) – Appointments for the Dental service will only be given after attending the Drop-in.
  • C:card: Drop-in during office hours for condoms and lubricants

How to Find Us

Public transport

Any bus stopping at Lothian Road or the West End of Princes Street gives easy access to the centre. The number 2 and 35 bus stops at West Port, close to Lady Lawson Street entrance.
