Diabetes Consultant Cluster Link Programme
Each cluster in Edinburgh, East and Midlothian is linked to a named diabetes consultant (there are pre-existing arrangements in West Lothian). The aim of the link programme is to support quality improvement activities in diabetes. If individual practices need support in education and training, please contact loth.diabetesmcneducation@nhs.scot.

National Digital Type 2 Diabetes Remission Programme
As of late February 2026 the national ANIA Digital Diabetes Remission Programme has launched in Lothian. The programme welcome referrals with the same criteria as for the Counterweight Plus Programme already established in Lothian.
