QMU Survey

Good morning,

I hope you are all well and had a lovely weekend.

As you may know, Queen Margaret University offers a post graduate programme called “Advancing Care Home Practice (ACHP)”. The ACHP programme is for practitioners working in the care home sector who are committed to advancing practice, leading to the creation of person-centred cultures where people living and working in care homes can flourish.

The ACHP programme has been running for four years now, and is due for re-validation in Spring 2025. Therefore, we are currently undergoing a major review of the programme.

As you all work in care homes, or are connected to adult social care practice, education and/or research, you are all key partners/stakeholders for this programme. I am really keen to hear all your thoughts, ideas and perspectives on how we can take the ACHP programme forward. I would also be very keen to hear your thoughts on how you see higher education for adult social care in the future.

I would be immensely grateful if you could complete a survey which will contribute to the data collection required for the review. This should take you no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete and it is anonymised. I would also be so grateful if you could pass this survey on to your colleagues and networks as appropriate.

You can complete the survey using the link below:

Please note, that there is a section in the survey that is dedicated for anyone that has been a student/learner on the programme. If this does not apply to you, please answer not applicable (“N/A”) to these questions.

The survey will close on 12th July.

More information on the Advancing Care Home Programme can be found here: https://www.qmu.ac.uk/study-here/postgraduate-study/2024/pgdip-advancing-care-home-practice-person-centred-practice/

If you have any questions, or would like to have a conversation about the programme or how you see higher education for adult social care shaping in the future, please do not hesitate to get in contact.

Thank you so much in advance.

Kind Regards,

Karen
