to have flexibility and choice in how and when they access cardiac rehabilitation. Cardiac rehabilitation guidelines now advocate this in order to meet required certified programme standards. The Heart Manual clinical team has and continues to provide extensive facilitator training enabling services to provide this choice by offering the Heart Manual Programme in their areas. This highly evidenced programme can be offered in paper or digital formats depending on patient preference.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-regular-font-size\">The Heart Manual Department is a well established NHS service providing evidence-based programmes for individuals recovering from myocardial infarction, revascularisation, and cancer. Our programmes are facilitated by specially trained clinicians worldwide to individually tailor the programme and support patients\u2019 understanding and management of their condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&#8220;\u2026the UK Heart Manual (NHS Lothian) is perhaps the most extensively studied self-management book for patients recovering from acute MI or coronary revascularization.&#8221;<\/p>\n<cite><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ahajournals.org\/doi\/10.1161\/CIR.0000000000000663\">Scientific Statement from the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, the American Heart Association, and the American College of Cardiology 2019<\/a><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>We are proud to work with colleagues in the public sector, academic institutes and organisations to support the recovery of many individuals across the UK and worldwide.
