{"id":534,"date":"2023-12-14T09:41:25","date_gmt":"2023-12-14T09:41:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/services.nhslothian.scot\/seedsdev\/?page_id=534"},"modified":"2026-08-31T10:14:04","modified_gmt":"2026-08-31T09:14:04","slug":"referral-process","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/services.nhslothian.scot\/seedsdev\/inpatients\/referral-process\/","title":{"rendered":"Referral Process"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The unit referral form should be completed fully and submitted to the team inbox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Referrals are screened by the team to assess the suitability, clinical need and urgency of the referral.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contact will be made with the community team to arrange date and time of admission and\/or a pre-admission meeting if this is felt to be required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preferred times of admission are Mondays to Fridays between 9am \u2013 4pm, (except in emergencies), to coincide with appropriate staff cover.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For planned admissions, patients and relatives are welcome to arrange a visit to the ward via their Community Eating Disorder Team.
