We are only allowed to accept consultant-to-consultant referrals \/ tertiary referrals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>for&nbsp;young people&nbsp;(up to 17th birthday) with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>idiopathic scoliosis (infantile, juvenile and adolescent)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>congenital spinal deformity<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>severe Scheurmann\u2019s kyphosis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>neurological conditions cerebral palsy and others syndromic conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Muscular Dystrophies to include Duchenne and Spinal Muscular Atrophy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>spondylolysis \/ spondylolithesis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Neurofibromatosis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Post-irradiation and post-tumour scoliosis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>for adults with:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>spine deformity acquired in childhood \/ adolescence and where it has been demonstrated that there is no degenerative aetiology of the condition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>severe Scheuermann\u2019s kyphosis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>high grade spondylolisthesis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>late onset or missed idiopathic scoliosis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>kyphosis due to Ankylosing Spondylitis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>problems following previous spine deformity surgery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For adults only plain X-rays are required with AP and lateral views placed onto the PACS National Archive for review prior to reviewing the referral.
