Working in the emergency services carries the risk of you sustaining a psychological injury as a result of the job you do. We know that emergency service staff are a resilient and resourceful group who cope well most of the time with the traumatic incidents they face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The support of colleagues, a sense of professionalism, teamwork and training all work to protect you from emotional and psychological harm. However, there may be incidents and occasions when you are more affected by what you have been involved in and the aim of the Rivers Centre is to provide early support and psychological treatment to anyone who is experiencing problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rivers Centre has worked with fire and rescue staff since 1998 and have a passion for supporting the wellbeing of responders. We currently have contracts to provide post incident support and expert confidential psychological treatment for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have developed the Lifelines Fire<\/a> project to support the wellbeing of the fire and rescue community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
