Please refer to\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/services.nhslothian.scot\/rheumatology\/frequently-asked-questions\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"334\">frequently asked questions<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/services.nhslothian.scot\/rheumatology\/covid-19-section\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"327\">COVID-19 section<\/a>, where we have tried to answer most queries, before contacting the Advice Line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center has-light-accent-plum-background-color has-background\"><strong>The Rheumatology Advice Line number: 0131 537 1405<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advice can be given on most things relating to your condition or treatment.&nbsp; Your query will be referred to another member of the team if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that&nbsp;we can only answer calls from patients&nbsp;who have a Rheumatology&nbsp;Consultant in our unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your query will be recorded on an&nbsp;<strong>answering machine&nbsp;<\/strong>and answered by a Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner as soon as possible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>This line is not for emergencies.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When to call the Advice Line<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you are experiencing a flare which has not responded to your usual self-help treatments (see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/services.nhslothian.scot\/rheumatology\/how-to-manage-a-flare\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"338\">managing a flare<\/a>\u00a0section)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you are experiencing any medication related side-effects,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are concerned about your blood results<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you require advice on any aspect of your rheumatology medications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Please do not use the line if&#8230;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You need to change your appointment time with the Nurse Practitioner.
