The Rheumatic Diseases Unit is a leading centre for both academic and clinical research, and is involved in a wide variety of research activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Unit also has a strong link with Edinburgh University, where a large amount of research is conducted into a wide and varied range of conditions related to joints, bone and muscle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our consultants are leading research into the genetic basis of bone and joint diseases, the pathogenesis of Inflammatory arthritis, Lupus, Osteoporosis and Gout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
