HAVS can be painful and cannot be cured, it can however be prevented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Health &amp; Safety Executive recommends that employees exposed to the use of vibrating tools are regularly checked. We do this initially by questionnaire, asking them questions to determine whether or not they may have any symptoms of Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome. Once identified, they may then require an assessment by a qualified Occupational Health Physician or Nurse. It may then be required that the employee\u2019s exposure to vibrating tools is reduced or that working practices are changed.
