Biography<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
I have been working in the field of healthcare since 1996, and I qualified as a Mental Health Nurse in 2000 from the University of Paisley. In 2002, I completed further studies in a BSc in Nursing Studies Gerontology, and in June 2022, I completed my Master of Science in Global Issues of Gerontology and Ageing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since qualifying, I have worked in Elderly Mental Health in various areas, such as an Admission\/Assessment Unit for Organic Disorders and Community Psychiatric Nursing in Elderly Mental Health. In 2006, I moved into the field of Alzheimer’s Disease Research, and over the past 17 years, my research portfolio has expanded into disease areas such as Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, and Motor Neurone Disease.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I joined the network as a Senior Clinical Studies Officer in July 2015 and am currently working on clinical research projects in Lothian. Additionally, I am temporarily managing the ENRICH (Enabling Research in Care Homes) team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
