This clinical trial looks to try different medications <\/strong>to see if they can slow down or stop Parkinson’s Disease symptoms<\/strong> from getting worse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Happens In This Study?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this study, we test several different medications at the same time, while everyone keeps taking their usual Parkinson’s medication. Each treatment is given to a different group and compared with a placebo, which is a dummy drug with no active treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can I Join This Study?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To take part in this medical trial, you must meet these 7 requirements<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Your Diagnosis:<\/strong> A doctor must have confirmed that you have Parkinson’s Disease<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Your Age:<\/strong> You are between 30 years old or older<\/strong>. There is no upper age limit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Your Current Medicine:<\/strong> You must have been taking Parkinson’s medication<\/strong> (containing levodopa) for at least the last 2 months<\/strong> without making any big changes to it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Your Symptoms:<\/strong>\u00a0Your\u00a0Parkinson\u2019s Disease<\/strong>\u00a0symptoms should be mild to moderate<\/strong>. A doctor will be able to assess your symptom severity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Your Permission:<\/strong> You must be able to understand what happens in the study and sign a form (called informed consent<\/strong>) to say you agree to join.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Your Time:<\/strong> You must do your best to attend all your study visits, and follow the rules of the study until it ends.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Taking the Medicine:<\/strong> You must be willing and able to swallow the trial medication.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Study Length<\/strong>: 165 weeks (3 years and 1 month)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Number of appointments<\/strong>: 10 visits, plus check in phone calls<\/p>\n\n\n\n
