I am a Consultant in Medicine of the Elderly in NHS Lothian, with a specialist interest in Parkinson\u2019s disease and related movement disorders. My MD research focused on gastrointestinal dysfunction in people with Parkinson\u2019s disease, particularly issues with delayed gastric emptying. I have been involved in several clinical trials and remain actively engaged in Parkinson\u2019s research.
I studied medicine at Newcastle University and completed my specialist training in Geriatric and General Medicine in the North East of England before taking up a consultant post in Edinburgh in 2015. I also have a strong interest in postgraduate medical education and am a faculty member and speaker for the Parkinson\u2019s Academy Foundation Masterclass.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n
