Being realistic from the beginning about how long it can take will help you cope when you feel it is all going too slowly and you want your baby home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whilst we all aim to have babies successfully breastfeeding before discharge, it is not a pre-requisite for discharge and some babies go home with a combination of breast feeding and tube feeding or breast feeding and bottle feeding.
