IF THERE IS NO ANSWER THERE IS A MESSAGING SERVICE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What to expect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Upon receiving your referral<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It will be triaged by the team and added to a waiting list. If you follow these steps, your symptoms might improve so much that you don\u2019t need treatment anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>From your 1<\/strong><strong>st<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>appointment<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on your problem\/injury your first appointment will either be on the telephone, video or face to face.&nbsp; The appointment may last 30-45&nbsp;minutes. At your appointment you will have an opportunity to discuss your problem and goals with a physiotherapist and it will usually involve a physical assessment. You will be asked questions regarding your symptoms including relevant past medical history so having a copy of your medication may be helpful. If completing a physical assessment wearing loose fitting or appropriate clothing will be best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Face to face appointments<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please bring a list of your medications with you and any forms or questionnaires you have been asked to complete&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may be asked to bring shorts and\/ or a vest top.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Phone appointments<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be asked to confirm your telephone number when you book your first physiotherapy appointment. If you cannot attend your physiotherapy appointment, please contact us as soon as possible&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you do not attend an agreed appointment and have not informed the physiotherapy department of this in advance you will be removed from the waiting list. If you contact the physiotherapy department within 4 weeks of this missed appointment you may be re-added to the waiting list.
