Where are we based?<\/h2>

Our physiotherapy staff work in clinics across West Lothian. Please see the ‘Where To Find Us<\/strong>‘ drop down menu, at the top of this page, for a list of our West Lothian clinics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We treat people through a combination of face to face, telephone and video appointments depending on the needs of the individual. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

How long will I wait?<\/h2>

Current waiting time for routine referrals is 21 weeks <\/strong>[last updated 06\/05\/26]<\/em>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

This can vary depending on demand. You can choose to attend any West Lothian clinic – this may result in a longer wait. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your problem is worsening, please contact your GP practice or seek more urgent medical attention if appropriate.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What will happen at your first appointment?<\/h2>

You will be able to discuss your concern with your Physiotherapist and how it affects you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An examination will usually happen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please bring suitable clothing. For example,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • shoulder pain – wear a vest<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • knee pain – wear shorts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    What should I do if I cannot attend my Physiotherapy appointment?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Missed appointments will result in a longer wait to be seen. If you cannot attend your physiotherapy appointment, please let us know as soon as possible on 01506 522063<\/strong>.  Lines are open between 9am-1pm, Monday-Friday, except public holidays.  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you do not attend your appointment and have not informed the physiotherapy department of this in advance, you will be discharged<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If you contact the physiotherapy department within 4 weeks of this missed appointment, you may be provided with a new appointment. If more than 4 weeks have passed, you will need to be referred again. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
