The aim is for early diagnosis and intervention. Where assessment results in a diagnosis of dementia, MATS serves to initiate and monitor newly commenced relevant medication. Onward referrals and signposting seek to ensure post-diagnostic support is facilitated; this is most often via an Alzheimer Scotland Link Worker.

The service covers the city of Edinburgh only. Patients must be able to attend clinic, and with someone able to support assessment, such as a close family member. Please note that MATS cannot make home visits.

Contact

Memory Assessment & Treatment Service
Craighall Centre
210 Ferry Road
Edinburgh
EH6 4RB

0131 446 4500

Mon – Fri

08:30 – 16:00

Location

By Car

If you are travelling to the site by car and using a Sat Nav the address is: 210, Ferry Road EH6 4RB.

The building is identifiable by its red and white railings.
