In addition, we will often work with other specialties to deliver the individualised care you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item c-accordion__item js-accordion-item no-js\" cancers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are responsible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Performing diagnostic procedures (including biopsies and minimally invasive surgery)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Delivering complex cancer surgery, including laparoscopic, robotic, and open procedures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undertaking cytoreductive (removal of cancer) surgery where appropriate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assessing operability and surgical risk in partnership with the wider MDT<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Surgery is often a key part of treatment and is carefully planned to balance cancer control with recovery, quality of life, and individual patient goals.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-pb-accordion-item or immunotherapy to treat gynaecological cancer care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their role includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assess patients who may benefit from radiotherapy (with or without chemotherapy and\/or immunotherapy)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan and deliver highly targeted radiation treatments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work closely with surgeons and medical oncologists to coordinate combined treatment pathways<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support patients through treatment, managing side effects and recovery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Radiotherapy may be used as a primary treatment, after surgery, or to help control symptoms in advanced disease.
