Our department is a 6 bedded inpatient area providing care for patients requiring elective or emergency gynaecology treatment. &nbsp;Our dedicated team is committed to delivering care in a supportive, respectful and compassionate environment, with your comfort, safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What We Do<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Urodynamics involves a series of diagnostic tests that help us understand how Ward 12 provides specialist inpatient gynaecology care 24 hours a day for patients who require a hospital stay. This includes planned surgical procedures as well as the assessment and treatment of acute gynaecological emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to our inpatient service, we operate a 24\u2011hour emergency gynaecology triage area, where patients are assessed promptly and efficiently, ensuring timely access to safe, high\u2011quality care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our highly trained and experienced staff work closely together to deliver personalised care, maintaining a strong focus on dignity, respect and compassion throughout every patient\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Referral Process<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Planned admissions to Ward 12 are usually arranged following an outpatient assessment by a Gynaecology team.&nbsp; Emergency admissions are via referral from a GP, Emergency Department, NHS24 or another hospital speciality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to get in touch<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ward 12 can be contacted directly on 01506 524112 or via St John\u2019s switchboard by asking for Ward 12. Our ward clerk manages incoming calls and will be happy to help direct your enquiry appropriately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Location and opening times<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ward 12 is based on the first floor of St John\u2019s Hospital, Howden Road West, Livingston, EH54 6PP.
