What is Occupational Therapy?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Occupational therapy is a healthcare profession dedicated to helping individuals engage in the activities they need and want to do in their daily lives.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Occupational Therapists (OTs) use meaningful everyday tasks\u2014known as occupations\u2014to support health, well-being, and participation in life\u2019s important moments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OTs work in a wide range of areas with patients of all ages and abilities. Our team specialises in working with Children and Young People (CYP).<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What is Children and Young People’s (CYP) Occupational Therapy (OT)?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

OTs help children and young people to carry out activities (occupations) they need, want, or are expected to do, but are unable to do so. These activities include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Play\/leisure<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    The therapist can provide advice and strategies, and suggest alternative ways of doing things.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
