We know that coming to hospital can be a stressful time for you and your family. We will do all we can to help to make your visit to the hospital as pleasant as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After reading this leaflet, if you have further questions about your visit before attending, please don\u2019t hesitate to contact our appointments desk on the number above. Alternatively when you attend the outpatient department please ask the nurse in charge or any doctor or nurse involved in your care. They will be pleased to help you and, if necessary, talk to other members of your family. When you come to hospital, please bring details relating to the benefits you receive and ask for a certificate of attendance from the reception in the department you are visiting. This certificate should then be taken to the Cashier\u2019s office which can be found in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh in the mall area (ground floor opposite the Simpsons Corridor).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cashier\u2019s office is open:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Monday \u2013 Friday: 08.30-13.00&nbsp;&nbsp;&amp;&nbsp;&nbsp;13.30-16.30 (16.00 Friday).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Patient Transport&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patient Transport will only be made available if you have a medical\/clinical need. To cancel patient transport, telephone 0800 389 1333 (Free phone 24 hr answer service).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Interpreting and translation<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Your GP will inform us of any interpreting requirements you have before you come to hospital and we will provide an appropriate interpreter for you.
