Namaste Care Education & Resources (NEAR)<\/h2>

Namaste Care is a charity that promotes sensory care with a palliative care approach for people living with advanced dementia<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Namaste Care Education and Resources (NEAR) provide an online learning resource to support care homes to implement and sustain this unique care intervention for people with advanced dementia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These education resources explore how sensory stimulation is an essential element of communication with people who live with advanced dementia and how through e.g. touch, and music they are better able to meet the psycho-social and spiritual needs of these people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VOCAL – Voice of Carers Across Lothian<\/h2>

VOCAL supports and empowers unpaid carers in Edinburgh and Midlothian through individual support, information, training and access to services. More information on the services they provide can be found on the Care Homes A-Z Pages<\/a> or direct through the VOCAL webpages<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Included in their work is the provision of training for Health and Social Care workers who support unpaid carers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
