style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Reflective practice is a key part of any role within the care sector, as it is through reflective practice that we can develop our skills and knowledge whilst applying to practice.<br>Reflective Practice is one form of Continuous Professional Learning (CPL) which is a requirement of registration with the SSSC and adherence with the SSSC Code of Practice.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-light-accent-grey-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left has-light-accent-green-background-color has-background has-regular-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Recording your reflections on learning and your practice can demonstrate CPL, but in addition they can also be used as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-light-accent-grey-background-color has-background has-regular-font-size\">\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\" class=\"has-regular-font-size\">Evidence for qualifications including SVQ and PDA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\" class=\"has-regular-font-size\">Evidence for SSSC Open Badges<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\" class=\"has-regular-font-size\">A discussion tool for supervision<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\" class=\"has-regular-font-size\">Part of your organisation\u2019s Personal Development Planning or Appraisal process.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\" class=\"has-regular-font-size\">An informative piece of evaluation of training where classroom learning can be demonstrated and applied to practice. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-light-accent-grey-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p class=\"has-light-accent-green-background-color has-background has-regular-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\"><strong>When you attend any Lothian Healthcare Academy training you will be provided with<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\" class=\"has-regular-font-size\">Reflective Practice template &#8211; a downloadable version is provided below<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\" class=\"has-regular-font-size\">Certificate of attendance with learning outcomes identified .<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\" class=\"has-regular-font-size\">Any additional documentation\/workbooks (depending on course)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-accent-grey-background-color has-background has-regular-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">These documents can be used to build a portfolio of learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-light-accent-grey-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">We recommend that you reflect on your learning at least 3 months after training, but also at a point where your learning is put into practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-accent-grey-background-color has-background has-regular-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:400\">Once you have completed this document keep it safe along with any certificate from the learning activity, this will help you build a portfolio of learning and demonstrate your own professional development.<br>Alternative formats can be requested
