<a href=\"https:\/\/services.nhslothian.scot\/carehomes\/services-bladder-and-bowel-health\/#bowel-screening-booklet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bowel Screening booklet for Health &amp; Social Care staff and booklet for people living in Care Homes and their family &amp; friends<\/a><br>\u00b7 Abdominal Aortic Aneurysms (aged 65 years)<br><br>Pregnancy and newborn screening are also offered.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-light-accent-plum-background-color has-background has-regular-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">People eligible for screening are sent invitations to the address linked to their CHI number. <br>It is important that this information is kept current to ensure that invitations are not missed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-light-accent-grey-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Self Referral for Screening<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-standard-black-color has-light-accent-green-background-color has-text-color has-background has-regular-font-size\" style=\"font-style:normal;font-weight:500\">Breast screening \u2013 patients who are aged 71-74 years old, or have previously had breast cancer and have been discharged from yearly follow up mammograms, can self-refer for a breast screening appointment by contacting the screening centre.<br><br>Bowel screening \u2013 patients who are 75 or over, can still take a bowel screening test every 2 years by requesting a new test kit each time from the Scottish Bowel Screening Centre.<br><br>Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening &#8211;
